In her exclusive interview in today's Telegraph Magazine, the actor and designer Philippa Islington-Smythe discusses the price of fame, her controversial new handbag collection, working with Daniel Craig and how becoming a parent changed her perspective on the world.
I went into Harrods and enquired about the price of a handbag in the early 1990s. It was £400. I quickly handed it back and said it didn’t have enough pockets. (Four hundred quid in the early nineties--that was a lot!)
I imagine Philippa’s pheasant feather mini rucksacks to be similarly pricey.

Haha! Thanks, I needed some of Phillippas mindlessness today. ...Sorry, did I say mindlessness? I meant mindfulness, of course. *cough*
Celebrities..they are just like us. Though I've heard she's had a lot of work done. And one of those Rucksacks cost more than my rent.
Trying the all cheese diet she recommends.🤞🏻
How funny!( I’m sure bacically ,though cats have far more sense than to be as vapidly pretentious as the Islingon Smyths of this world!
Love this! Just a delight.
Fabulous 💕
This is hilarious! Lovely cameo from Ralph <3
Oh, I had a Tuxedo we named Maxine (sadly, she succumbed in December 2021 at age 18) and Philippa reminds me so much of her!
Ho
I love Roscoe.
(Loved Ralph The Hippie as well.)
😂😂 perfect
Great in depth article that allows the subject to fully express her views about life and the world. I look forward to more like this.
